Cute Cat

There are many other areas that people occupy that are not on any map or brochure produced by the BLM. Any Federally owned land in a state is ripe for occupancy. The main concern with this is that you can only stay for a period of 14 days then have to move to another location not less than 25 miles radius from there. Most of these little known areas are never checked. Also it is a good practice to have more than one unit in a group for personal safety. The location of these sites are usually found by talking to fellow boondockers at LTVA's.

One of these areas is located at Yuma Lakes approximately 8 1/2 miles north of Yuma (see LTVA Map for a general view). Turn north on Laguna Dam road off US 95 (Circle K Store). You'll see and Avenue 7E sign on the south side of US 95 and Laguna Dam road on the north. Follow signs to Yuma Lakes RV Park which is on the lake. You'll notice the BLM area before you get to the lakes. I have not been there but these are the directions given to me by a fellow boondocker.
