Dickson Trout Pond
Dickson Trout Pond is a bay of Gleniffer Lake that is separated from the main lake by a berm. This allows it to maintain a constant water level all year long and encourages weed growth which is perfect for rainbow trout. The pond holds good quantities of hatchery rainbow trout. It was drained recently to remove Pike and other fish and re-stocked in the spring of 2001.
To reach Dickson Pond, travel west from Innisfail to Spruceview, turn south at Spruceview to Dickson and continue for a few kilometres to the pond. Camping is available close to the pond. The most productive fishing is from a canoe or boat due to the weed growth along the shoreline but most fishermen prefer to fish it from shore. A very relaxing place to fish indeed.
