CTC (Committed to Canada) is a place for people of all stripes to some a rap about what's right and wrong in the world, and how
Canada could be a better part of that world.
It all started when I was in highschool. Me and a few buddies were pissed off that American culture and values were eating Canada away from the inside. So I started and crappy jingoistic anti-American website called Canadians Against American Dominance (tm). Unfortunately there are a lot of sites like that one the web, and mine wasn't one of the pretty ones so we didn't get too many visitors. And the ones that did show up were mindless slogan shouters. I wanted informed discussion. And I realised that most of the problems with Canadian culture being assimilated into the US were of our own creation. I still rail against the US from time to time, but I'm much more focussed on Canadian problems now. CTC reflects that.
My friends call me Stanley Kowalski. If you desperately need to know more, fire off an e-mail, and I'll let you know.
Check out our sections, where we're trying to get things stirred up on a bunch of different topics, from sweat shop labour to separation of church and state. If you want to contribute, send in an e-mail, check out the debate board, or leave a note in the guest book. Hopefully we can get you motivated to take some actions too, like boycotts, petitions, protests, whatever suits your fancy.
