procedure:

If doing this with a small cricket inside of a petrie dish, place the dish over a paper circle that is half white and half black.

If using a larger cricket in a plastic box with half the bottom covered in black paper and half in white, place the cricket in the middle of the box with the test tube over it. Carefully remove the test tube and replace the top of the box back on. Watch for five minutes and record what side the cricket preferred by placing a check next to the side selected. Repeat this experiment five times.
