Texas 2005

Larry & I had such a great vacation.  We went to visit Holly & Cindy in Dallas.  Below are just a few of the pictures we took to show you the fun we had and the cool things we saw.  I have made a DVD slide show if you ever want to see the majority of the pictures.

We had a 3.5 hour layover in Minneapolis.  So we went shopping at the Mall of America which is owned by the same people as West Edmonton Mall.  The mall is smaller than WEM but it is the largest mall in the U.S..

Look out stores here I come!!!!

Larry was pretty nervous with all the stores and me on the loose with my wallet.

The mall has a cool indoor amusement park.  Larry said he would rather dig his eyes out with his keys than to go on the roller coaster.  What a drama queen.

Lego Land was really something to see.  All the statues are made completely from Legos.

Can you guess which one is made from Legos?

This one reminds me of my boss.

Now that we made it to Dallas we have to figure out these crazy freeways.

Here we see our lovely hostesses. Holly & Cindy have a gorgeous house and treated us like royalty.

This is there backyard where we spent a lot of time ... especially in the pool.

Miss Holly and Larry are goofing around the pool.  No running on the deck girls.

"Damn it's hot out here.  Where's that lazy pool boy with our drinks?  I swear if he wasn't so pretty he would be so fired!"

The house is so big it even has it's own receptionist.  Actually it's Holly doing what she does best ... wheelin' & dealin'.  You go girl.

Here I am enjoying the sun in gay village in Dallas.  Great place for eye candy, shopping and partying.

Gay bars set up the way the way gay bars should be.

This is a night shot of the gay village from our hotel room.

Each room in the hotel is equipped with a man-whore.  Isn't mine cute?

The people in Dallas really know how to advertise a car wash.  The car wasn't dirty but we had it cleaned anyway.

The guys in Texas are very friendly.  We went swimming with my Bear411 buddy in Dallas.

There are lots beautiful buildings in the downtown area.  As you can see the pan- handlers really have to work hard for their money.

Some of the building just seem to go up and up forever.

Exterior shots of this 56-story tower were used on the TV show "Dallas" as JR's office building.  During the time the show was filmed,  the exterior was plain glass but in 1987 all the glass was replaced to create a lattice design.

The building in the center is Bank One Center.  It is a 60 story granite and glass building.  All  the builders in Texas must be size queens.

Downtown you will also find beautiful historical architecture.

Referred to as "Old Red" this palace style county courthouse was built with red Pecos sandstone in 1891.

The silver sky scraper in the front is the 72- story Bank of America Plaza.  The building is outlined with 2 miles of radiant emerald green argon tubing which can be seen glowing for miles in the evening.

Here we are enjoying some cool drinks in the revolving cocktail lounge of Reunion Tower.

Poor Miss Cindy puts up a brave front for her allergy shot.

The city of Grapevine has some gorgeous historical buildings which remind me of the Whyte Ave. district in Edmonton.

I could have done a lot of damage in Grapevine's trendy shops but Larry was keeping a close eye on me.

"Wow you really do have buns of steel!"

The girls empty their pockets at the farmer's market.

You can't say you've been to Dallas if you don't go to Southfork Ranch where they filmed the TV show "Dallas".

Here is the pool that Patrick Duffy used to prance around in his little black speedos.

This must be how Sue Ellen felt when she saw Southfork for the first time.

JR started a lot of family fights at this very table by the pool.

This is my tribute to Kristen who fell to her death from this balcony.

The driveway reminds me of all the times Pam would screech her car's tires when she was pissed at Bobby.

What a great place to eat your Fruit Loops in the morning.

Good ol' Jock still keeps an eye on the family.

Who would have thunk it ... they have Texas Longhorns in Texas!

JR usually got what was coming to him.

Lucy's wedding dress ... they even let Larry try it on.

Oh yes ... we got to touch Patrick Duffy's hand prints.

Of course I have to include Victoria also.

How y'all doin?

Bye girls ... thank you so much for a great time.
